Drivers at Sun Belle Inc. have officially ratified a new 4-year collective bargaining agreement, securing strong hourly wage increases and continued protections on the job.

This agreement reflects the members’ unity and commitment to improving standards at the workplace. Teamsters Local 703 is proud of the bargaining committee and the hardworking members at Sun Belle for standing together to achieve meaningful gains.

Teamsters Local 703 is proud to announce a new organizing victory at Jem Transportation. The hardworking employees chose to stand together and secure a strong voice in their workplace, and we are honored they placed their trust in Local 703.

This win reflects the growing momentum across our region as more workers demand fairness, respect, and a seat at the table. We look forward to beginning the process of bargaining a contract that protects wages, benefits, and working conditions, and ensures every member is treated with dignity.

Teamsters were outside Mt. Prospect Golf Club today informing the public about Unfair Labor Practices committed by Open Kitchens.   

43 Drivers and Helpers voted to be represented by Teamsters Local 703 in August.  

Open Kitchens has refused to recognize the workers vote and bargain with the workers’ union.   Open Kitchens has repeatedly violated the law during the organizing campaign, including firing of union supporters.  

Call Open Kitchens at (312) 666-5335 and demand the company recognize the Workers Vote and follow the law.

Teamsters Local 703 is proud to announce that our members at DFA in Batavia, IL have voted 100% in favor of their new 3-year contract — a unanimous show of strength and solidarity!

This agreement delivers the largest raises our DFA members have ever received, along with significant new protections, including:

• Stronger seniority language to protect work opportunities and scheduling.
• Enhanced protection-of-rights provisions to ensure fairness and accountability in the workplace.
• Additional language improvements designed to make their work environment safer, fairer, and better for everyone.

This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the bargaining committee, comprised of Business Agent Giovan (Johnny) Scianna and Union Steward Frank Torres, with the strong support of the Local 703 Executive Board.

This unanimous vote reflects the power of unity and the commitment of our members to fight for and secure a better future. Congratulations to our DFA Batavia members on this historic victory!

An incredible time at this year’s Union Night with the Chicago Fire! Teamsters Local 703 was proud to be represented by a strong showing of union stewards, members, and representatives who came out to celebrate solidarity and union pride.

It was a great evening filled with energy, unity, and community spirit. Events like this remind us of the power of standing together—not just at our daily jobs, but in every aspect of our union family.

Drivers and Helpers at Open Kitchens have voted Yes to be represented by Teamsters Local 703.  The 46 workers deliver wholesale foods and prepared meals in the Chicagoland area.  The workers persevered through an aggressive and illegal anti-union campaign by the company.   Open Kitchens Drivers and Helpers are ready to fight for the dignity and respect that comes with a Teamster contract.  Joint Council 25 welcomes Open Kitchens Drivers and Helpers to the Teamsters!

Representatives from Teamsters Local 703 attended the Teamsters Unity Conference, participating in a range of workshops and sessions. The event featured speakers from the International Brotherhood of Teamsters leadership and other prominent voices in the labor movement. It was a powerful experience focused on solidarity, education, and strengthening our union’s future

Teamsters General President Sean O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman visited the Chicago International Produce Market alongside the Teamsters Local 703 Executive Board and Business Agents to meet with the hardworking union members who keep the market running strong.

The visit was a great success, with members showing their appreciation for the leadership’s commitment to protecting and strengthening Teamster jobs. General President O’Brien expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and the unity displayed by Local 703 members.

We thank our General President and Secretary-Treasurer for taking the time to see firsthand the dedication of our members and for standing with us in the fight for stronger contracts, better wages, and improved working conditions.
